The Shridhan MLS Series comprises External Chamber Level Switches designed for liquid level measurement and control where the level switch is installed in a chamber outside the main process vessel.
The external chamber arrangement allows the level switch to operate in a controlled chamber rather than directly inside the main vessel. The brochure describes this arrangement as providing smooth level control irrespective of turbulence in the process vessel and helping prevent accidental damage to the switch during vessel shutdown or maintenance.
Chamber arrangements are also described for applications requiring process isolation, high-pressure or high-temperature operation, corrosive service and onshore/offshore installations.
The MLS Series uses an external chamber connected to the process vessel. The liquid level inside the chamber follows the process level, allowing the float and stem assembly to sense the level without placing the complete switch arrangement directly inside the main vessel.
As the liquid level changes, the float moves and operates the adjustable micro-switch mechanism. The switch is specified as bi-stable and can be configured with up to three adjustable switch mechanisms.
